Charli Farquharson Art Class (Oil, Acrylics, Pastels)
Shottery Memorial Hall Art Studio, Hathaway Lane,
CV37 9BL
Members only. This course will not run in the Spring term but will hopefully return for the Summer Term.
This course will centre around the importance of design, value and colour. Bring along your own pieces to work on, or begin afresh by taking inspiration from the demonstrations and class ‘openers’ I will pose. These will be fun ways to get the creative juices flowing and increase confidence. Being primarily a pastel artist and acrylic painter, demonstrations will focus on these. I will, however, give direction on how to apply the principles to any preferred medium, of which there will be a variety try out, alongside interesting techniques to experiment with.
Growing up on Scotland’s rugged coast, my work tends to reflect that landscape. I also tend to abstract my work to some extent, and I enjoy using texture and colour to do so. I hope to introduce to you some methods and ideas that will further your artistic development, allowing you to enjoy the process of art making even more, and ultimately love the result.
For more information, email Charli on workshops@stratforduponavonartsociety.co.uk
