Sarah Miles - 'Texture and Wild Animals in Watercolour’

at Shottery Memorial Art Studio, CV37 9BL

Saturday 9th November 1pm-4pm

Saturday 23rd November 1pm-4pm

Cost £35

After a sold-out workshop this year for Stratford Art Society, we have decided to put on another of Sarah’s ‘Textured Watercolours’ workshops in November. So if you missed out, here’s another chance to join in with learning about Texture in Watercolours! If you were lucky enough to join earlier in the year, this is your chance to develop and also plan a composition around including an animal!

Would you like to create a textured watercolour piece, with an animal as your focal point? In this course, Sarah will be inspired by the autumn leaves of the season, and will use those and other materials such as rice, lace, feathers, and salt to create a piece inspired by a British Autumn and focussed around a wild animal. Perhaps some red squirrels, or a badger, or a raven on a pumpkin! She may even explore texture on her wild animal if she feels so inclined; Sarah encourages everyone to be 'playful', so anything could happen! In the last course there was also the opportunity to use crackle paste... but Sarah is thinking of giving you the opportunity to use something special and shiny for a magical, autumnal look... Book on to find out what!

Refreshments will be provided but please bring your own mug.
